Bedroom

Oak paneling with inset mirror glass hiding a walk in wardrobe and washroom. I also made the walkway between the A frames leading to the mezzanine. All are finished with linseed oil.
Chess table inlaid with various different colours of veneer that I restored to bring back the colour and shine of when it was new.
Elm dresser with inlaid veneers and banding I brought back to life.

Antique bed that I transformed from a single to a double width wise and lengthwise matching in new veneers and staining new wood to match old.

Antique drop leaf table I restored.

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog.
My name is Jon Lindup. I am a furniture maker and antique restorer with many years experience working in both trades.

This blog is to give you a taster of what I make. I hope to update it with photos of my most recent projects as well as some older pieces that I'm particularly proud of.

Working as an antique restorer has taken me across Europe and over to New York. I have seen and worked upon some truly amazing pieces of furniture but making my own furniture and working to other peoples designs gives me the greatest sense of achievement. I hope that you can see that I'm a perfectionist and enjoy making beautifully hand crafted pieces taking care to finish them to the highest standard.

Enjoy my blog!
